My mentor Mike Ferry used to teach me that there are three ways to get business in the Real Estate game. You can wait for it, pay for it, or go out an earn it! Needless to say, the “earning it” appealed to me!
Thus, one of the most effective ways to find ready to act Sellers was by picking up the phone and actually calling potential Sellers and asking them if they wanted to sell. Obviously, to many of you who are reading this blog, the mere thought of calling a lead on a phone seems abhorrent. However, for those who aren’t faint of heart, or love to help people, read on!
I’ve been in the game for 23 years now, and one of the best things about that level of time in the business is it gives me perspective about what is useful, and what is not, when it comes to the tips, tricks and techniques you can use when trying to make your fortunes in real estate!
When you are calling leads, you can use services like TheRedX to obtain phone numbers, autodial them, leave messages, and maintain a basic contact management system which simplifies the lead generation process. (See Video)
